Flying

I could love you with all my heart if you let me
If you made it safe
If you loved me back
just like I love you
We could lose ourselves
in each other
and be as one
We could fly
together, you and I
But reality keeps stepping in
There's always something else that distracts
There's always someone else to love
There's always something else that needs doing
And it knocks me to the ground
It takes away my wings
And I just stand there
waiting
Not knowing what else to do
Hoping, that I can fly again with you soon

  1. Beautiful poem. Until you fly again as high as a kite. Eat chocolate. A poem for a poem :) TFx

    Lover leaves
    lonely lady
    lusting love
    lifts lid luxurious
    chocolate-box
    chomps
    creamy

    crunchy
    chewy
    caramelised

    chocolates
    craving controlled

i know, it doesn't always feel that way, it's never that simple... but we have to learn to let go, run to open arms...

    You are welcome Helen. :)

TF, your poem puts a smile on my face, while mine, makes me frown. ... Today I like yours much better. Thank you. :)

Thank you Lane; ... I do so love to fly.... :)

    Thank you Blu. :)

Hey Lefty. It never is all that simple; sometimes open arms seem closed if you view them through the veil of your past...

    I don't see the new avatar.... :(
